These bathroom remodels, led by Senior RSI Designer Arlene Allmeyer, were a vibrant and exciting project that pushed the boundaries of color and layout design. The homeowner’s love for bold colors and eye-catching elements shaped the entire process, resulting in a space that is as functional as it is visually beautiful. The secondary bathroom underwent a major overhaul with a new tile shape and color palette, while the primary bath was transformed from a dark, cramped area into an open, airy oasis. This remodel included the removal of dark green marble, the addition of a freestanding tub, a walk-in shower, heated towel bar, and gold accents throughout the space, making it a showcase of bold design choices and expert craftsmanship.
The Challenge
Like many older homes that have undergone multiple renovations and additions over the years, this home had a few structural challenges. Part of the home was built on a slab, while the other part had a basement, which created some complexities during construction. The client also requested uplift medicine cabinet. In order to recess the medicine cabinet, the contractor furred out the wall in the primary bath for a clean flush look.
The Result
These bathroom remodels delivered a luxurious, bold, and sophisticated transformation. The hall bath now features a sleek, single-person shower with an eye-catching tile design, while the primary bath boasts a stunning free-standing tub in front of a glass half-wall, a walk-in shower without doors, and beautiful gold accents that elevate the space. The once dark and dated bathroom now feels open, bright, and modern, perfectly reflecting the client’s vision and preferences.
This project exemplifies how bold design choices and innovative solutions can lead to a truly exceptional space, combining functionality with vibrant style.
